Abstract:
Most of us know that if you don’t know how to allocate your cost to a certain product or client, one can always use the peanut butter spread methodology. This equals a method where you will equally spread the cost over your products or clients, as if it were peanut butter on a cracker.
Michiel Vos is the founder of the peanut butter store in Amsterdam and is actually producing peanut butter. Over the years his cost price calculations became more and more sophisticated. A jar of peanut butter being sold in the flagship store in Amsterdam has a very different cost price attached to it than one sold online to a customer in Hong Kong.
Through his story on how he built the peanut butter store's brand, he will tell us if he got rid of the peanut butter method…
